The Orion Tablet PC is a rugged lightweight portable workstation that provides the high performance Windows XP Operating System in a configuration optimized for wearable, handheld or vehicle mounted requirements.
The Orion Tablet PC is powered by the state-of-the-art VIA Eden ULV processor. The CPU runs at 1 GHz and supports up to 1 GB of on board RAM, while operating at extremely low power. The unit features a very fast video processor with up to 128MB of shared system memory. A 6.4” diagonal LCD with integrated touch panel provides the system human interface. The display is 640 x 480 pixels with up to 262K colors, is sunlight readable, and dimmable to less than 1.5 nits for night vision compatibility.
The Orion Tablet PC is equipped with up to 64GB Solid State Drive. The system also provides our proprietary Secure Drive Encryption hardware encryption and can be zeroized in less than 30msec.
The Orion Tablet PC is provided with two miniature rugged circular I/O connectors that supply input power, Ethernet connectivity and two USB ports. The unit is also equipped with an internal battery, and charger, capable of operating the system for nominally 30 minutes (when fully charged).
The Orion Tablet PC is constructed using a two-piece lightweight magnesium alloy chassis. Also, the system comes equipped with a tethered stylus. The unit is designed to meet the harsh environmental requirements and to operate reliability in tactical field applications.
