SANTA ANA, CA — May 25, 2011 – Secure Communication Systems (Secure), an innovator in rugged handheld and deployable computer systems, announced today it has been awarded a subcontract by iGov to build the US Air Force High Performance Workstation (HPW). The $4 million award was given on March 31, 2011 and includes support for the over 800 systems to be delivered to the US Air Force Mission Planning community.
The HPW is a replacement for similar computer systems Secure has provided to the USAF on previous mission planning contracts, including the MPS and UMPH systems. The HPW is a mission planning server and display that uses commercial off the shelf components and is transported in a ruggedized transit case.
