VIASAT AWARDS SECURE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS WITH TOP HONORS AS 2008 SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR.

SANTA ANA, CA — October 28, 2008 — Secure Communication Systems, an innovator in rugged handheld and deployable computer systems, announced today it has been recognized as the 2008 Supplier of the Year by ViaSat, Inc. The award was presented at an annual Supply Chain Executive Day hosted by ViaSat at their Carlsbad, California facility.

The Supplier of the Year award is given to ViaSat’s highest ranked supplier across all company divisions. Each supplier is assessed on a rigorous set of criteria, including on-time delivery, overall quality, cost, responsiveness, and value-add. One year or four prior quarters of business with ViaSat is also required for suppliers to be considered for the award.

As the highest scoring supplier for on-time delivery, Secure gave a presentation during the event to fellow suppliers on Achieving High On-Time Delivery Performance and Direct Fulfillment. Secure has worked as an equipment integrator for ViaSat Inc. since 2001.
