The Pyxis Tablet PC is a rugged, lightweight, portable workstation that provides the high performance Windows XP Operating System in a configuration optimized for wearable or vehicle mounted ground requirements.
The Pyxis Tablet PC is powered by a Transmeta Crusoe processor. The CPU runs at 800MHz and supports up to 640MB of on board RAM, while operating at extremely low power. The unit features a very fast video processor with 8MB of video RAM separate from system memory. A 6.4” diagonal LCD with integrated touch screen provides the system human interface. The display is 640 x 480 pixels with up to 262K colors, is sunlight readable, and dimmable to less than 1.5 nits for night vision compatibility.
The Pyxis Tablet PC can be confi gured with rugged, highperformance Solid State Drives up to 64GB. Rugged, low-power Hard Disk Drives up to 30GB can also be confi gured into the Pyxis Tablet PC.
The Pyxis Tablet PC is constructed using a two-piece lightweight aluminum alloy chassis. The system is also fitted with a tethered stylus that can be clipped to the workstation when not in use. The workstation can be fitted with optional rubber bumpers to protect the system from damage. The workstation is also designed to satisfy the environmental requirements necessary to operate reliably in severe tactical field and flight line applications.
