    The Secure / RPS Orion Workstation computer system is a rugged lightweight portable workstation that provides the high performance Windows XP Operating System in a configuration optimized for wearable, handheld or vehicle mounted ground requirements.

   The Secure / RPS Orion Workstation is powered by the State-of-the-Art VIA Eden ulv processor. The CPU runs at 1 GHz and supports up to 1GB of on board RAM, while operating at extremely low power. The unit features a very fast 3D video processor with up to 128MB of shared video RAM.
   

    A 6.4” diagonal LCD with integrated touch panel provides the system human interface. The display is 640 x 480 pixels with up to 262K colors, is sunlight readable, and dimmable to less than 1.5 cd/m2 for night vision compatibility.

   The Secure RPS Orion Workstation is equipped with up to 30 GB HDD which is optionally encrypted and can be zeroized in less than 30 milliseconds. The Secure / RPS Orion Workstation is provided with two miniature rugged circular I/O connectors that supply input power, Ethernet connectivity and two (2) USB ports.

   The Secure RPS Orion Workstation is equipped with an intergral charger and battery, capable of operating the system nominally for up to 30 minutes (when fully charged). The battery is charging when the unit is connected to external power. 

   The Secure / RPS Orion Workstation is constructed using a two-piece lightweight magnesium alloy chassis. Also, the system comes equipped with a tethered stylus. The unit is designed to meet the environmental and reliability requirements for operation in tactical applications
